Lance Agena is a sansei born and raised in Hawaii from a picture bride grandmother and a grandfather who provided for his large family on a plantation on the west side of Oahu. Lance grew up exploring his neighborhood overlooking Pearl Harbor on his second-hand Schwinn bike.
He eventually upgraded from his family's Kodak Instamatic X-15 to a Fujifilm XT-1 and now walks Honolulu's streets hunting for novel shots.
Pacific New Media recently showed his work in its Contemporary Photography in Hawaii 2016 juried show. Selected pieces of his work are currently displayed at Izakaya Torae Torae.
Magisto's The #ShowUs Show profiled Lance in 2014.
